travelling thoughts 2

We live (over) complex, self-involved lives. Everything around us demands it. The "me" age.

Yet how small we are... I'm on my second flight to cape town this week, and had a chance to admire our city from above on take-off. Humbled, I watched as the monopoly town below bustled with activity. The morning traffic. The tiny little cars. So close yet too far away to make out any people.

Louie Giglio talks of the earth as a golf ball, yet here I am just meters above the surface and I still would not be able to pinpoint myself if I were down there. And my great and adoring Father knows every hair on my head. It's unbelievable, unfathomable, indescribable...
